WHERE IT BEGAN
One Idea. Two Sisters. Generations of Cultural
ChiRican® began with our mom’s idea, two proud Puerto Rican sisters, and a shared upbringing that we wanted to bring to life. Born and raised in Chicago in a Puerto Rican household, we grew up with the same sayings, the same music, the same food, the same family traditions—and probably got yelled at with the same Spanish words as every other Boricua kid.
Our mom had the idea, and we took it and ran with it, turning those memories into something we could wear and share. Because even though every family has its own story, there’s something special about realizing so many of us grew up the same way.
Built around family, cultura, community, humor, and representation, ChiRican® celebrates the intersection of the city that raised us and the Puerto Rican heritage that shaped us. Every design carries a little piece of home, a little nostalgia, and a whole lot of pride.
